Enter A User Interface

Top  Previous  Next

To be allowed to enter a certain user interface, the user must have a TrackingOne account and at least one of the following three sufficient conditions:

1.the role T1_User and a T1_User container role extension for that container which the user interface belongs to,
2.the role T1_Analyst and a T1_Analyst container role extension for that container which the user interface belongs to, or
3.any role and a role extension for that role and that container which the user interface belongs to, if the user interface has a Special Widget  or a Table Editor for which an authorisation has been configured which grants access to that role.

For example, in order to have access to the user interface "My Store UI" which belongs to the container "MyStore," it is sufficient for the user to have the role T1_User and a T1_User container role extension for container "MyStore."

Generally, the authorization for entering a whole web application like the Custom UI is a matter of installation and technical configuration. In order that the above concept will work, the installation must conform with certain prerequisites which are described in the installation guide. However, the concept will work in absence of any authorisation measure configured by the installation.

If the user has none of these three permissions, then he will get an error message saying that the access is denied when he or she tries to access the user interface.
